DJ Dali was born in Tunis, Tunisia. Coming from a family that has two other DJs/producers, it was inevitable not follow in his elderbrothers´ footsteps. From an early age, he was exposed to hip-hop and house. In the mid-nineties, he concentrated his attention onthe Chicago, Detroit and NY scenes.
He started his career as a professional DJ in 1997. After sharpening his teeth in the local Tunisian scene, he decided in 2004 to move to Paris, France, to pursue his passion. In 2006 his signed his first record for NY´s own Soul People Music label as well as starting hisown radio show, BACK2MINE on the world famous Interface Pirate Radio out of England. Things did not stop at these achievements ashe went on to release more records for labels such as Selekta Rec and Lace Rec. The year 2008 saw him put out his first release as Tunis Diaspora in collaboration with his two brothers, DJ Nabil and DJ Mourad. During the last few years, DJ Dali worked hard to gethis own sonic signature and style, and he continues today to experiment and chart new musical territories. He also continues toperform as an international DJ and share his love for music and everything soulful and funky.
